Hello everyone,
The Federation of the Deaf in Catalonia (Federació de Persones Sordes de Catalunya, FESOCA) and the Department of Language Policy of Catalan Sign Language, had always organized the LSC Seminar every year, until in the last edition it was decided to organize it every second year. Well, this year it’s time to celebrate the VII Edition of the LSC Seminar, focused on issues related to Catalan Sign Language. It will be held on June 1th, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, and there will be presentations until 8 o’clock in the evening. It will be at the Institut d’Estudis Catalans, atCarme Street, 47, in downtown Barcelona. There are different guest speakers; some are Deaf and others are hearing. Different topics from different areas we will deal with are education, linguistic research, or dissemination of LSC, but all in the context of LSC. We would very much like you to come and watch the different presentations, because the topics will be very interesting. If you live with or use Catalan Sign Language every day, maybe you would like to know more about it. Therefore, we invite you to come. It is free! Here below you have the program.
