Hello! I am Ezequiel and this is my name sign. I am the vice president of the Social House of the Deaf in Manresa and Regions (CASMACS). This entity was founded in 1953. Since its founding, all kinds of activities have been organized: leisure, sports and cultural. Catalan Sign Language (LSC) courses have also been offered since 1979, for hearing people and family members.

It should be noted that in 1990 the association was declared of public utility, which values the importance of recognition and support from the government. I have told you a little about the history of the entity and, below, the president will summarize his vision for the future.

Hello! I am Manuel, the current president of CASMACS, and this is my name sign. Ezequiel has briefly told you about the history of the association to date and I will present the vision for the future. For now, we have few members, but there is a lot of associative movement. We will continue to organize activities, offering LSC courses to support and encourage everyone to sign, as well as communication between deaf and hearing people. Personally, I consider that the number of members is not the most important thing, but the strength and the will to continue moving forward.
